Sanderson Stewart’s own Lauren Waterton, AICP, Michael Sanderson, PE, PTOE, and John Halverson recently hosted presentations at the 2022 MAP Conference in Billings.
Lauren and Michael teamed up with the City of Billings’ Transportation Planning Coordinator, Scott Walker, to share the team’s recent public participation and planning successes on the City’s 5th Avenue North Corridor Feasibility Study project. The team presented their various methods of planning and public outreach, which were challenged by the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study has now informed the first phase of the recommended improvements, also being designed by Sanderson Stewart’s team.
John Halverson, planner and member of the firm’s dedicated Placemaking Studio, also took to the lectern to share his presentation titled, “School Zone: A New Model for Suburban Development in Montana.” Working from the Billings office, John is helping to plan and design enduring communities all over the Rocky Mountain West!
Thank you to all who attended the 2022 MAP Conference, as well as our CSTP’s presentations!
