We are immensely excited to announce that Chris Naumann has joined Sanderson Stewart as a Senior Planner in the Placemaking Studio!
Chris has spent the previous 13 years as the Executive Director of the Downtown Bozeman Partnership, where he lead not only the DBP, but also Bozeman’s Business Improvement District, and the Urban Renewal District. As the Executive Director of the DBP, he became well versed in the principles and best practices of urban planning, multi-modal mobility, placemaking, and municipal development regulations. He has extensive interdisciplinary experience in public engagement, strategic planning, project management, and public private partnerships. Prior to leading the Downtown Partnership, Chris was independent downtown business owner. The combination of these experiences gives him a deep understanding of Main Street, downtown, and central business districts.
Beyond the Gallatin Valley, Chris serves on the National Council for the Greater Yellowstone Coalition and on the Northern Rockies Economic Development District board of directors. Nationally, Chris is a recognized voice in downtown development. He is an active member of the International Downtown Association and recently served on a distinguished panel titled, “New Perspectives on Vibrant and Healthy Public Space.” He is also working with the IDA on the development of their new Leadership in Place Management certification program.
Our firm has partnered with Chris for many years on projects throughout Downtown Bozeman and are thrilled that he has joined the firm. Welcome, Chris!
