Sanderson Stewart is pleased to announce that Jeremy Herring, PE, PTOE has joined Sanderson Stewart’s Community Transportation Studio as a Senior Engineer! Officially our second Helena-area team member (along with Ivan Ulberg, PE), Jeremy joins the team after spending the last six years with the Montana Department of Transportation as a Traffic Signal Engineer. He started his career in Colorado in the early 2000s and has since continued to develop his expertise in the design and implementation of traffic signals. His duties at MDT included review and coordination of design projects for electrical and/or ITS work to ensure compliance with applicable standards and was the department expert in traffic signal operations, oversight, and development in traffic signal practice, design, and hardware functions including ITS technology. As a Traffic Signal Timing Engineer at MDT, he developed traffic signal timing plans for signal networks on the state highway system balancing the competing interests to provide the safest and most efficient operations. He conducted data collection of existing traffic signals timings and operations, corridor travel times, and traffic volumes for the analysis of updating and implementing new traffic signal timings. As part of the Community Transportation Studio, Jeremy will lend his signals expertise to our clients all over the Rocky Mountain West!

Welcome to the team, Jeremy!
