Sanderson Stewart, an award-winning community planning and design firm, is seeking a talented and highly motivated Project Engineer or Staff Engineer to work in our Commercial Group. In addition to strong technical knowledge of site development and infrastructure engineering, the successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to independently manage multiple tasks and deadlines. They will need to demonstrate their passion for working in the people-oriented environment of healthcare, and for providing world class customer service and responsiveness to some of Sanderson Stewart’s most important ‘A’ Clients.
Duties will include managing multiple projects and tasks for the design of healthcare facilities and related infrastructure, including site planning, site engineering and grading, water and sewer utility design, storm water management, traffic and pedestrian access, circulation and parking. Duties will also include preparation of reports and presentations, proposals, contracts, permits, specifications, and cost estimates. The candidate should also have the ability to assist with creating and managing project plans, project budgets and project schedules from project start to project completion.
Duties will also include productively working in a team-oriented environment including project coordination with multiple team members, outside consultants and review agencies. The candidate should also be able to approach project delivery and problem solving in a proactive manner and be highly motivated to create positive outcomes for the Client and the firm.
Candidates should have a minimum BS in civil engineering, or related engineering field, and be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Montana; 4 to 10 years of site design experience, with specific experience in healthcare design preferred. They should be proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D design software, project management software and other relevant design and desktop productivity software. Must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
