Danielle Scharf, PE, PTOE, LEED AP,  has been named Managing Principal and President of Sanderson Stewart. She will lead Sanderson Stewart’s staff and operations across all markets it serves in the Rocky Mountain region.

Danielle succeeds Michael Sanderson who served as President of Sanderson Stewart for the last 15 years and continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer of Sanderson Bellecci—Sanderson Stewart’s parent company.

“This is an exciting time for Sanderson Stewart! With our terrific team of talented, hard-working professionals and energized by the growth and expanded resources from our recent Sanderson Bellecci merger, it will be a privilege to help lead the next chapter for this great company,” says Danielle.

During her 22 years at Sanderson Stewart, Scharf has held numerous, progressively responsible, positions in the firm. She first distinguished herself as a technical expert in multi-modal transportation, municipal engineering, and site development leading numerous complex and award-winning projects for clients across Montana.

In her corporate leadership roles, she has led many strategic initiatives and served as the firm’s Bozeman Branch Manager from 2013-2022 during a period of unprecedented growth.

Most recently, Danielle has served as Western Montana Region Manager which included responsibility for the 2023 opening of Sanderson Stewart’s Helena, Montana office. She was Sanderson Stewart’s first woman shareholder when she became an owner in 2014, and subsequently, the first woman to be named as a Principal of the firm.

“Danielle is a natural leader of people and her track record of success as a professional speaks for itself. She has been a big part of our growth over the last 20 years, and she embodies the people-first culture of our organization. So, as we continue to grow and innovate our approach to business, I can’t think of anyone more uniquely suited to lead our Rocky Mountain team into the future,” says Michael Sanderson.
