A COORDINATED EFFORT
Sanderson Stewart was retained by the City of Bozeman to provide design and right-of-way (R/W) acquisition leads for Griffin Drive in Bozeman, Montana. This under-developed rural corridor is slowly evolving to a business-centered urban corridor necessitating roadway widening, turn lanes, signalized intersections, pedestrian facilities, and at-grade railroad crossing. This project is being developed by the City of Bozeman to match-in to MDT’s current signal project at North 7th Avenue and Griffin Drive and the City’s Manley Road project. Additional development projects were taking place concurrently during design. Project design and R/W team members worked together with several property owners during design to merge private development project plans to provide seamless transportation improvements, avoiding multiple construction related challenges. Early R/W acquisition owner-coordination was conducted to minimize design changes as R/W acquisition gets
started.
Our services included: Full R/W acquisition services including title work, easement preparation, R/W Agreements, waiver valuations, appraisals (subcontracted), negotiations, cost-to-cure details, client coordination, title clearing, multiple business entity coordination.
