A CONNECTED, GROWING CITY

In recent years, land development in the region of Billings, Montana that lies west of Shiloh Road has brought about an increase in traffic volumes that directly impacts safety, traffic operations and access. As more and more rooftops are constructed in this area, demand for pedestrian and bicycle facilities to support multi-modal transportation options is also rapidly increasing. The intent of this study was to provide the City of Billings and Yellowstone County with a tool for planning improvement projects to meet the demands of a vibrant and growing region of our great City.

PROJECTING FUTURE DEMAND

Teaming with Fehr & Peers, Sanderson Stewart completed this study to develop a series of transportation model runs that projected ongoing and future development and traffic demand growth so that improvement projects can be planned and prioritized to handle those demands. The study summarized the results of those model runs in a report and provided recommendations on scope and priority of improvement projects to mitigate projected impacts.
